PRETEKLI KONCERTNI CIKLI

IPAVCI

The Ipavec family left an indelible mark on the history of Slovenian music. The brothers Benjamin, Alojz and Gustav, together with Gustav’s son Josip, created in the 19th century a musical legacy that gently intertwined the romantic spirit of Europe with a profound love for the Slovenian nation. Their art songs, choral compositions and piano works are distinguished by melodic expressiveness, lyricism and remarkable emotional warmth. During a period of national awakening, they helped shape the cultural identity of the Slovenian people, and their works continue to resonate today through their simplicity and heartfelt sincerity.

TRYPTIH

TRIPTYCH brings together three thematically related expressions into a sensory and aesthetic whole. The first part - MOMENT - refers to a fundamental existential question, with answers found in the expressionist poetry of Srečko Kosovel and Tone Kuntner. In the second part, we touch upon the symbol of the mother - MOTHER - establishing a special relationship with Holy Mary. The third part - FATHERLAND - is dedicated to the reverence for the homeland and tradition. The texts are musically arranged by Vinko Vodopivec, Samo Vremšak, Vilko Ukmar, Hugolin Sattner, Franc Schubert, Arvo Pärt, Vytautas Miškinis, Emil Adamič, France Cigan and Marij Kogoj.

THE MOMENT

Music poetry written by Srečko Kosovel, Josip Murn, Anton Medved, Tone Kuntner and Anton Martin Slomšek. The poetic speech was musically equipped by slovenian composers Marij Kogoj, Vilko Ukmar, Samo Vremšak, Alojz Srebotnjak, Anton Lajovic and Luka Gojkošek.
